Honeymooned
Same old story
Same old glory
I tell you, she was no hag in her day
Her once magnificent smile now lay dormant
She grew older by the day and not the years
Her soulmate suffocated her soul
Killing her ever so softly
Still, tears hydrate her barren face
When she proclaims her love
She became disheveled by time
While living life as a provocative statement
Self-worth she fussed not about
Agonizing those who love and loved her
Because she was caught up
In the same old story
And the same former glory
But yes, he loved her truly
