There is no quit in me

Even when my days are blindfolded

And light cannot infiltrate my darkness

Still, there will be no quit in me

It is not my nature

Bittersweet is my life

Chasing these dreams

On this uneven pavement

Where the dignitaries

Never seem to drive their limousines

To see the uneven dreams

Bittersweet is my life

Filled with trials and wonderous joy

When I see even pavement

Just for a moment

Reaching to lasso these dreams

Only to be hijacked by the uneven pavement

That trails off into the abyss

You could dissect me

And there will be no quit in me
